You see the current prices of the stock, cryptocurrency or precious metal in your catalogue. The current price of the fractional instrument always equals the price of the underlying on the relevant exchange. When placing an order we’ll provide you with a buy and sell quote on the order screen.
Please be advised that for fractional precious metals the prices are displayed in EUR. While the underlying is traded in USD, we auto-convert to EUR using the live market. For Fractional Shares, on which the underlying is traded in USD, we show the prices in USD.
When you place an order to buy, you’ll see the buy price. It differs from what you saw on the instruments page for the following reasons:
The constant fluctuations of the underlying metal price,
The transaction fees applied in form of a markup to the market price (this only applies to precious metals),
The instrument page doesn’t display the buy price, but rather the mid price between the buy and the sell (only for cryptocurrencies and stocks).
The order for the Fractional Instrument will be executed for the price indicated on the order page (or a lower price if prices have decreased in the meantime).
When you place an order to sell, you will see the sell price. It differs from what you saw on the Instruments page for the same reasons mentioned above. The order for the fractional instruments will be executed for the price indicated on the order page (or a higher price if prices have increased in the meantime).
